We’ve welcomed a raft of new talent to our team this year, so we have some catching up to do on introducing them all to you, but today we introduce Simeon (Sim) Preddie, our new Customer Contract Manager for London.
Welcome to The Clean Space Sim!
Sim is London born and bred. He brings with him more than ten years of experience in facilities management, having most recently worked in a similar contract management role for West Ham F.C.
Interest piqued by a job ad that promoted a company that cared for its people, Simeon applied to and joined The Clean Space because of the culture, expertise, and knowledge within the team.
He identified with our desire to treat people fairly and admired the open, transparent and proactive approach we take to gathering feedback on its service to customers, and as an employer.
Priding himself on being flexible, patient and delivering a truly personal service to his customers; Sim thrives in passionate and driven teams. An obvious ‘people person’, Sim has spent the first three months in post getting to know his new customers and cleaning teams, innovating and looking for possible efficiencies.
What does Sim look for in a great cleaner?
For Sim, reliability, and dedication to the role is the most important quality in a cleaner.
“You can teach someone to clean effectively, but you can’t teach anything to someone who doesn’t show up”.
Our customers rely on The Clean Space to keep their premises safe and clean, and a commitment to the role (and an understanding of why it’s so vital in the broader business eco-system) is key in recruiting and retaining the best cleaning operatives in a difficult labour market.
A stickler for time-keeping Sim will no doubt run a tight ship with his cleaning teams and lead them to perform at their best. On the pulse of his customers and cleaner feedback, The Clean Space is excited to benefit from his people management skills, organisation and experience.
Outside of work Simeon spends most of his time with his family (where he is forever working on his DIY skills trying to keep up with the kids’ escapades) or planning his next sun-soaked family break.
Something most people don’t know about Simeon
Sim once played football with the ultimate legend himself – David Beckham. He won dinner with the superstar in a T-Mobile team sales incentive.
